Eduvedha Careers · Effective 10 August 2026 · Version 1.0

यह सूचना अंग्रेज़ी में है। हिन्दी में इसकी प्रति के लिए grievance@eduvedha.com पर लिखें। · A Hindi copy of this notice is available on request.

This notice explains what personal data Eduvedha Careers collects from teachers and job-seekers, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to match what the service actually does. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act).

Who we are

Eduvedha Careers is a teaching-jobs board operated by Eduvedha (the platform owner). For the personal data described here, Eduvedha is the data fiduciary — the party that decides why and how your data is used. Our grievance officer's contact details are at the end of this notice.

What we collect, and when

When you create a teacher profile or account. The details you enter yourself: your name, email address, mobile number, and a password; the role you are looking for and your subjects; your highest and other qualifications, years of experience, current or last designation and school, boards you have taught, and any teacher-eligibility test (TET/CTET) status; the languages and medium you are comfortable teaching in; your city, state and preferred cities; whether you are willing to relocate or take residential duty; your expected salary, notice period and availability; and your CV (PDF), which we ask for when you create an account and which you can replace or remove at any time from your profile.

When you apply to a specific vacancy. Your name, email and phone; your qualification and experience; your current designation/school; TET status and, if applicable, RCI registration; languages known; relocation preference, notice period and expected salary; an optional cover note; and, optionally, your CV.

What we do NOT collect. We do not ask for or store any identity document, certificate, photograph, caste, gender, or date of birth. Everything you provide is self-declared. We verify only your email address and phone number — never your qualifications, employment history, or background.

In your browser. To keep you signed in, the site stores two items in your browser's local storage — a short-lived access token and a refresh token. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

Your consent — two separate purposes, never bundled

We ask for consent separately for two different things, and you may agree to one and refuse the other. Withdrawing one does not withdraw the other:

We record the exact wording you agreed to, and its version, with each consent, so we can show later precisely what you were shown.

Who your data is shared with

How long we keep it

We keep your data for 180 days. Around day 150 we email you to ask whether you are still job-hunting. If you take no action, your data — including your CV file and the text extracted from it — is automatically and permanently deleted. You do not have to do anything for this to happen.

Your rights

Keeping data secure

Access to teacher data is gated: a school sees nothing until its UDISE code is verified, and contact details need a separate, logged, daily-capped unlock. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and the private links in our emails are stored only as hashes, so a copy of our database cannot be used to sign in as you or to open your links.

Grievance officer

If you have any question or complaint about your data, contact our grievance officer:

Chandrika, Grievance Officer, Eduvedha Careers
grievance@eduvedha.com
We respond within 90 days, as the DPDP Rules require.

If your concern is not resolved, you may escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice we will update the version and effective date at the top. This is version 1.0, effective 10 August 2026.
